Ray Alvin Hudson

FOREST CITY---Ray Alvin Hudson, 68, passed away on Friday March 14, 2014 at Hospice of Rutherford County in Forest City after a period of declining health.Ray was born September 22, 1945 in Catawba County to the late Alvin Coolidge and Ada Williams Hudson. He was a self-employed brick mason.

Surviving are two sons, Chadd Hudson and wife, Jenni of Houston, TX, Courtland ”Corky” Hudson and wife Carrie of Forest City, six grandchildren, the Mother of his children, Carline Hudson Dasch of Durham, NC, a special friend, Paula Vanhyning of Valdese, a sister, Janet Hudson Roberts and husband David of Conover, three brothers, Eddie “Peanut” Hudson and wife Cindy of Lincolnton, Wayne Dameron and wife Pat of Hildebran, Jerry Young and wife, Sandra of Hildebran, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at 11:00 A. M. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Steve Price officiating. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday March 18, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. in Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens in Forest City, NC.
