HICKORY – Rachel Bumgarner Proctor, 90 of Hickory passed away with her family by her side on September 5, 2024.
Rachel was born on June 22, 1934 in Catawba County to the late Bill and Beulah Willis Bumgarner. She was very loving, caring and giving to everyone she met. Rachel had a heart of gold.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everette Proctor; son, Everette A. Proctor; daughter, Juanita Keller; grandson, David Tyler Proctor; sisters, Ruby, Rada, Ruth and a brother, John.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, David Proctor and fiancée Kimberly Baker; grandchildren, Andy Keller, Michael Keller, Kristina Proctor; great-grandchildren, Mckenzie Taylor, Andy Wayne Keller II, McKenna, Brayden Brooks, Ryker Adenau’; siblings, Jack Bumgarner, Lois Chapman, and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 12 PM at Catawba Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 AM – 12 PM at the funeral home.
