Hickory – Peggy Joyce Ellis Griffin, 78 of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024 at Carolina Rehab Center of Burke in Connelly Springs, NC surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on August 11th, 1945 in Caldwell County, NC, Peggy was the daughter of the late Rev. John Willis and Henrietta Kirby Ellis. Peggy loved gardening and spending as much time as possible with Jayce. She was loved by her family and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Griffin; her son, Danny Sigmon and her grandson, Scottie Sigmon.
Those left to cherish her memory include, her great grandson, Jayce Sigmon whom she loved very much, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024 with Pastor Tony Childers officiating. Burial will follow the service at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gloryland Baptist Church of Hildebran in Peggy’s name.
