Hickory – Patricia Lovegrove Haynes, 80 of Hickory passed away on August 5, 2018 at Burke Hospice & Palliative Care.
Born on March 1, 1938 in Cape Town, South Africa, she was the daughter of the late Desmond Lovegrove and Stella Marie Clapham and step-father, Edward Albert Clapham. Patricia loved fishing, going to the beach, and loved to laugh. She ran a bait shop at her home for many years with her first husband. Patricia volunteered at Rhodhiss Fire Department and she wanted to become a paramedic.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jefferson Carswell; son, Frank Jose Jowers; grandsons, Adam Joseph Jowers and Eric Lee Carswell.
Survivors include her daughter, Lorena Jowers Faulkner and husband, Ted; granddaughter, Crystal Michelle Feimster; great-grandchildren, Caleb Feimster, Jacob Feimster, Lilliana Faye Feimster; nephew, Edward Clapham; and ex-husband, Jerry Haynes.
There will be no services at this time.
