HICKORY— Ora Lee Watts, 84, of Hickory passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, April 9, 2018. Born Ora Lee Justice, in Burke County on May 11, 1933, she was the daughter of the late William and Flavia Berry Justice. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joe Watts; grandson Cody Watts; son-in-law Jack Clanton; great granddaughter Lynzie Jackson; sisters Merla Smith and Irene Pope and brothers Doug, Wallace and Willard Justice. She was a member of Mountain Grove Baptist Church in Hickory, before retiring she was co-owner with her husband of Kelly Hosiery Mill.
She is survived by her daughters Patricia Clanton of Statesville, Reba Mosteller and husband Dennis of Hickory, and Debbie Teague and husband Frank of Hickory; a son Kelly Watts and wife Lovanda of Hickory; 6 grandsons; 12 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Jane Moretz and husband Harley of Bethlehem. A special thanks to caregiver Adriana Rodriguez. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 4:00 pm at Mountain Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Bruce Dayton officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the family life building.
