Nyia Vang

Nyia Vang, 93, of Morganton, NC, passed away peacefully on May 28th, 2024.

Born in Laos, Nyia Vang emigrated to the United States with her husband and eight children in the early 1980s, during the turbulent years following the Vietnam War. She and her family settled in California before moving to North Carolina in the early 2000s, where she lived until her passing.

Nyia Vang was a beloved grandmother, mother, sibling, and friend, known for her warm smile, gentle hugs, joyful laughter, and kind heart. Her loving presence as a maternal figure will forever remain a profound influence in our lives and our children's lives for generations to come.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and extended family members, who will deeply miss her and cherish her memory forever. Her legacy of kindness and love will continue to live on through them.

The funeral service is scheduled for July 12th to July 14th, 2024. The doors will open at 8:00 AM at Hmong United Chapel, located at 1914 N College Ave, Newton, NC 28658.
