Noah was born August 15, 1934, in Catawba County to the late Bider Orias Lutz and Carrie Rhoney Lutz. He worked in furniture all of his life and retired from Hickory Chair. Noah loved the outdoors. He and his wife loved to go camping, he loved gardening, and was a member of Winkler’s Grove Baptist Church where he was an active member of the Senior Fellowship Group.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca (Becky) Pearl Lutz; his beloved brothers, Hoke Lutz of Taylorsville, Carl Lutz of Hickory; sisters, Martha Hunnicutt of Franklin, Virginia, Buff of Casar, Ruby Walker of Valdese, and Mary Johnson of Hildebran.
He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca “Roxanne” Prince of Conover; granddaughter, April Dawn Butler of Hickory; great granddaughter, Makayla Dawn Butler of Conover and Breannah Nycole Butler of Hickory; great-great granddaughter, Shaylee Nycole Propst of Conover; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lutz will lie in state on Monday, January 25, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hickory Funeral Home. The family will be present from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home to receive guests.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Winlkler’s Grove Baptist Church. Pastor Paul Deal will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will include James Fincannon, Larry Coffee, Billy Beard, Joey Hawkins, Luther Bentley and Michael Hawkins.
