Nancy Yount

Nancy Lowman Yount, age 86 of Hickory, entered her Heavenly home on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. Born May 22, 1932 in Burke County, she was the daughter of the late Marshall Lowman and Alice Hyatt Lowman. Nancy was a faithful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a friend that was loved by all and she loved all.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Yount, sons, Mike Yount and Ernie Yount; brother, Bill Lowman; and sisters, Betty Lambert and Doris Lowman.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Carol Furnas; sons, Benny Yount and wife, Cherrie, and Scott Yount and wife, Courtney; brother, Wilbur Lowman and wife, Shirley; sisters, Geraldine Anderson and Polly Swink; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A private service for the family will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Hickory with Rev. David Daly officiating. Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
