Catawba County – Mary Lou Riffe, 91 of Catawba, formerly of Jacksonville, FL went home to be with her Lord on June 27, 2019 at the Warner Center in Fernandina Beach, Fl.
Born on March 1, 1928 in Appling County, GA. She was the daughter of the late Jay McGlohon and Betty Catherine Shannon. Mary Lou loved flowers, gardening and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her husband of 44 years, Billy Milton Riffe; a son, Hubert Ezra Woodard II; a brother, Julius McGlohon of Macon, GA; 4 sisters, Bertha Boyles of Rentz, GA, Gussie Armour of Dublin, GA, Grace Dominy of Jacksonville, FL, and Hazel Faulk of Cedar Grove, GA; a granddaughter, Bridgette Bray of TN.
Survivors include, 2 sons, Bobby Parrish and wife Mary, Danny Woodard and wife Donna and an adopted son, Jimmy Riffe; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Catawba Funeral Home with Pastors Larry McGinley and Jonathon Foster officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Catawba Funeral Home.
