Mary Sue (Sigmon) Barnette

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Bob Barnette; her sisters Millie Thomas, Elizabeth Yount and Sally Cline.

She is survived by her daughter Kathy Powell and husband Allan of Conover; her son Robert “Butch” Barnette and wife Renee’ of Hickory; her granddaughter Ashley Bridges of Beaufort; her grandsons Nathan Bridges and wife Gabriella of Hickory; Saylor Barnette of New York, Seth Barnette of Bethlehem; great grandson Robert Allan Bridges and great granddaughter Daisy Love Barnette.

The family will celebrate her life, Monday, April 21, 2025 at 11:00 am at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Dr. Christy Lohr Sapp officiating. Gathering of friends will follow the celebration.
