Marvin Louis Young

Marvin Louis Young, 60 of Conover went home to be with the Lord on September 22nd, 2024 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC, surrounded by his family.

Born on February 24th, 1964 in Catawba County, NC, Marvin was the son of the late Charles Lee and Nellie Rose Robinson Young.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Young, and his sister, Marcenia Young.

Those left to cherish his memory include, his wife, Catreenia Baker Young of the home; his sons, Marchello (Rochelle) Young of Winston Salem, NC, his step-son, Johnathan Baker, in the Navy, and his daughter, Raven (Tevin) James, of Winston Salem , NC; two grandchildren, Grayson Young, Gabriel James; three brothers, Al (Cindy) Young, Dennis (Gladys)Young, Reggie (Tasha) Young; three sisters, Ronda (Travis) Propst, Peza (Rick) Gaither, Amanda Young, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on September 30th, 2024 at Catawba Funeral Home at 11am with Pastor Brenda Robinson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11am to 12pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society in Marvin’s name.
