She was born on April 23, 1941, to the late Reginald Augustus Moretz and Frances Benfield Ward in Catawba County.
Along with her parents, her husband Lacy Vernon Hulon, and brother, Sam Ward preceded her in death.
Survivors include her sons, Michael Christopher Hulon of Newton, Reginald Vernon Hulon and fiancée April of Maiden; grandchildren, Justin Hulon of Connelly Springs, Casey Hulon and wife Paige of Wilmington, Tara Mills of Vale, Macyn Price of Hickory; four great grandchildren; and brother, Thomas E. Ward of Durham.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hickory Funeral Home. Rev. Kenny Robison will officiate the service. A private inurnment will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
