Larry Gail Morgan

Newton – Larry Gail Morgan of Newton went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Abernethy Laurels in Newton.

Born on April 2, 1955 in McDowell County, NC, Larry was the son of the late John Moloy and Betty Lou Lewis Morgan. Larry was loved by his family and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Dean Morgan and Jerry Morgan; a sister, Brenda Morgan McPeters and a great-grandchild, Nova Lee.

Those left to cherish his memory include 5 daughters, Brandi Lanham and wife, Jennifer of Lewiston, ME, Amber Roberts and husband, Bradley of Maiden, NC, Jami Whorley and husband, Chris of Marion, NC, Tonya Lowman and husband, Justin of Connelly Springs, NC, Sonya Rivera of Gastonia, NC, and a son, Cory Morgan of Hickory, NC.

He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Ethan James, Justin Bumgardner (Alexus), Kylie Bumgardner, Trinity Bumgardner, Aydden Roberts, Austin Hyler, Mackenzie Lowman, Riley Lowman, Rachel Teeters, Erasmo Rivera, Sophia Rivera, and 3 great-grandchildren, Cali Bumgardner, Remington James and Grayson James.

A Celebration of Life Service will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Abernethy Laurels in Newton, NC in Larry’s name.
