Junie Marie (Spencer) Hefner

HICKORY— Junie “Marie” Hefner, 85, of Hickory passed away peacefully at Carolina Caring on March 28, 2019. Born in Catawba County, on September 12, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Russell Seebert and Junie Hollar Spencer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carl W. Hefner; her son Larry C. Spencer; her sister Louise Sigmon and her brothers Worth Spencer and Ray Spencer. She is survived by her son Tim Hefner of Hickory; grandsons Will Hefner of Durham and Bailey Hefner of Hickory; granddaughters Madison Hefner of Hickory and Jennifer Williams of Taylorsville; sisters Pauline Eckard of Conover and Retta June Lindsay and husband Charles of Hickory; brother Johnny Spencer and wife Bobbie of Hickory, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the numerous friends and family that helped with the care of Marie. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm at Hickory Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 3:00 pm at St. Stephens Lutheran Church Mo-Synod with Pastor David Ziehr officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
