Born in Caldwell County on September 27, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Merit Huffman Parsons.
In addition to her parents, her husband Melvin Brannock, brothers Foard, Benny, Barry, and Gary, sisters Gladys, Lois, Mary, and Jerline preceded her in death.
Joyce is a member of Winkler’s Grove Baptist Church, a very sweet caring mother and grandmother; her family and friends will miss her dearly.
Survived by her daughters Annette Scheller (Robert) of Hickory, and Teresa McNabb (Doug) of Rapid City, South Dakota; her son Dwayne Brannock (Michael Johnson) of Central Square, NY, grandchildren, James, Zachary, Seth, Sarah, Kyle, Jacob, Kelley and 10 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 15, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 Pm at Hickory Funeral Home.
Funeral will be Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ernest Richards officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
