Joe was born September 20, 1942 in Temple, Texas. He graduated from Madison High School in Madison, New Jersey. He continued his education at Rutgers University where he earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in 1977.
Before his retirement at age 76, Joe was Executive VP at Blentech in Santa Rosa, CA.
Joe lived an amazing life of adventure, traveling all over the world for his job. He made many friends along the way, as he never met a stranger and enjoyed talking with anyone and everyone who cared to engage. He loved to share stories about all his adventures across the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, and beyond.
Joe was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Virginia Mary Yarnall; his parents Joseph Tyler Yarnall, Jr. and Verda Miller Yarnall; and his brother Craig Vernon Yarnall.
He is survived by his daughter Heather Yarnall Schultz (Gary) and his four grandchildren, Dylan, Maddox, Kennedy, and Ashton Schultz of Huntington, WV and his son Joseph Tyler Yarnall IV (Maria) of West Jefferson, North Carolina.
At his request, no service will be held at this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's memory can be made to Carolina Caring (carolinacaring.org), a wonderful hospice organization that provided excellent support and care for Joe in the final months.
