He was 69 years young. Surrounded by his loving family in his final moments, he was a man of immense humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones He enjoyed fishing, camping, vacationing with his family, and of course his dog (Wally). Johnny touched a lot of lives from family to friends. He was loved by everyone that met him.
He is survived by his wife Susan; daughter, Kimberly (Jerry) Russell; son Johnny (Kathryn) Sparks and son Matthew (Rachel) Sparks. He has 6 grandchildren Randle, Jacob, Zaden, EIi, Hattie and Zack, and 2 great grandchildren Haisley and Jeremiah. He has 4 living siblings Jim Sparks, Jeanette Bruner, Joyce Pruitt, and Judy Hallman. We will always carry your memory in our hearts.
A Celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 2 PM at Catawba Funeral Home with Chris Hinds officiating.
The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the American Heart Association or your local animal shelter.
