Johnny Ray Bolick, 54, passed away March 24, 2013 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born August 9, 1958 in Catawba County, he was the son of John J. Bolick, Jr. and Doris Burton Bolick. He worked for 25 years as an upholsterer in the furniture industry. Johnny loved golf, baseball, fishing, tennis, Nascar and the Duke Blue Devils sports. He had a dry sense of humor and was a devoted father to his two boys, Clark and Chase.
In addition to his parents, Johnny is survived by his wife of 25 years, Fran Sherrill Bolick; sons, Clark B. Bolick of Blowing Rock and Hickory and Chase A. Bolick of Blowing Rock and Hickory; brother, David L. Bolick and wife Kim of Hudson and sister, Linda B. Kaylor and husband Scott of Conover.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2013 in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Hickory with the pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 28, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
After the service, friends and family are invited to come to the Queens Road residence for refreshments.
