I would like to extend my sincere sympathy to the family of Joe Harrison.  I am Mildred Fort Kilpatrick from Fayetteville, N.C.  Around 1964 Joe was working for Automatic Electric Co. He had a supervisor named John Kilpatrick and they ended up together in Fayetteville for a contract job with then Carolina Telephone Co. Joe was responsible for introducing John to me and eventually  John (J.B.)  became my husband.  I will forever be grateful to him for the 43 wonderful years my husband and I had together, before his death in 2010. I had been in contact with Joe and Doris since then and am so grateful for their support in my grief.  Now, Doris,I will be there for you whenever and however I can. I will constantly keep you in my prayers. May God always be with you.

I think about Joe every year at Christmas because when he worked in Hickory he made some wooden Santa Puzzles and I bought one from him.  My children played with it and now my grandchildren are enjoying it.  I was sorry to hear of his passing.

 So sorry to hear about Joe.  He was certainly "one of a kind".  Both you and Joe have been two of the best friends I have known in this life.
