Jerry Clayton Setzer

Born in Burke County, on August 5, 1971, he was the son of the late Paul and Jannette Townsend Setzer.

In addition to his parents, his father-in-law Robert Holtsclaw Sr. preceded him in death.

Jerry's will be forever missed by his family and many friends. He had a way of bringing a smile to everyone who knew him. Jerry was employed with Dolbier Disaster Restoration, and was a veteran of the United States Navy.

His wife Joyce H. Setzer of the home, his son Dalton Setzer of Charlotte; his daughter Savannah Simmons; his mother-in-law Linda Holtsclaw; his brother-in-laws Bobby Holtsclaw, Jeff Holtsclaw, Billy Holtsclaw, and Adam Holtsclaw survive him.

A memorial service will be held, September 6, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Laurel Hill United Methodist Church, with Pastor Forrestine Sain and Pastor Robert Holtsclaw Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends following memorial service. Military Honors provided by Post 544.
