Janice C. Killian

Born April 12, 1948 in Cement, Oklahoma, she was a daughter of Stella Chaney and the late Elvin Chaney. In addition to her father, a brother, Larry Chaney, preceded her in death.

Janice was a faithful member of Sandy Ridge Baptist Church serving the Lord in many capacities. She loved keeping the nursery, teaching Sunday School and was active in Women on a Mission. She was a faithful prayer warrior for many and was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt, friend and without a doubt the most awesome Grandmommy ever!

Those left to cherish many wonderful memories, in addition to her mother, are her loving, devoted husband of 45 years 10 months, George T. Killian; two daughters, Jaquetta K. George and husband Clay and Jannetta K. Miller and the light of her life, her two grandchildren, Blake Ryan Miller and Olivia Grace George.

Also surviving are two brothers, Lloyd D. (Buster) Chaney, Bruce K. Chaney and a sister Deborah Barnes, all of Oklahoma, and many sister and brother in-laws and many nieces and nephews who adored their Aunt Janice.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, January 20 at Hickory Funeral Home.

A service to celebrate her life will be held Monday, January 21 at 2 p.m. at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church.

Joshua 1:9 says "Have I not commanded you, be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Grandmommy will forever live in our hearts and will never be forgotten. We're going to miss her but we rejoice in the fact that we know exactly where she is!
