HICKORY — Janette Mull Reese beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend has gone home to be with the Lord Our Savior. She was well known as an active member in our community through the years as part owner and operator of the Mull-Spur gas stations of Hickory and Newton. She loved her family so much. She always had a joke, smile, and helping hand to any who needed her. She enjoyed camping and fishing.
Janette was born May 22, 1921 in Catawba Co. to the late Clyde Yates and Sarah Young Mull. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John L. Reese, Jr. , sister, Gladys Mull, brothers, Walter Mull, Arnold Mull and Fletcher Mull.
Surviving are a daughter, Brenda Null and husband Ronnie Null Sr. of Hickory, son, Larry Mull and wife Sandy of Connelly Springs, sister, Betty Mull of Hickory, grandchildren, Tim Null and wife Fran of Conn., Jeff Null and wife Vickie of Hickory, Ronnie Null, Jr. and wife Bridget of Newton, Kimberly Leonard and husband Rev. Aaron Leonard of Roanoke rapids, Janet Bandy of Hickory and Leslie Mull of Hickory, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.
Services Friday, February 11. at 2:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Stan Asher and Aaron Leonard officiating.
Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Tim Null, Jeff Null, Ronnie Null, Jr. Chris Null, Bill Cantor and Eric Dollarhide.
The family will receive friends Friday from 12:45 until 1:45 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home.
