Jane Gaston (Elmore) Williams

She was a longtime resident of West Hickory and member of West Hickory Baptist Church.

Born in Rock Hill, SC on April 14, 1929 to the late Doras Ephraim Elmore and Lois Hurley Elmore.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Anderson Williams and two sisters Grace Heavaner, and Amy Stone and a brother Jack Elmore.

Jane is survived by one brother Doras Elmore and one sister Mary Polus.

She is also survived by son Steve Williams and wife Martha; two grandchildren Chris Williams and wife Veronica and Carrie Benge and husband Jamie; four great grandchildren, Maggie Benge, Logan Williams, Seth Williams, and Grace Williams, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the caretakers at Conover Nursing and Rehab. They provided great care for Jane and wonderful friendships. She couldn’t have been better taken care of.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 11:00am to 11:45am at Hickory Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 12:00pm at Hickory Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Frady officiating.

Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
