Mr. James Anthony Thompson

James was born on August 23rd, 1958 in Iredell County to James Walter Thompson and Sudell Miller,

He was employed as a Product Evaluation Technician at Corning Cable and was a member of Oxford Baptist Church. He was also a member of Bass Masters and Academy of Model Aeronautics

.

Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife; Tammy McGalliard Thompson of the home; a son, Brian C. Thompson of Newton; his father, James Walter Thompson of Hickory,; his mother Sudell Miller of Hickory; a brother John C. Thompson of Newton and a sister; Kathy T. Cherry and husband Randall of Asheville.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday September 26th, 2010 at Oxford Baptist Church with the Reverend Joel Frye officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Oxford Baptist Church in the Ministries Center on Sunday September, 26th 2010 from 1:30 P.M. until 2:45 P.M.

Pallbearers will be; Beaver Williams, Eric Caldwell, Mike Cline, Randall Cherry, Chuck Poovey, Bron Hemphill, Steve Miller and John Miller.
