James Lee Raby

James was born August 14, 1931 in Forsyth Co. to the late Loy and Beulah Cline Raby.

He was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, member of the church council, a deacon, retired from Southwood Reproduction and a veteran of the US Army served in the Korean War.

Surviving are his wife, Kathleen Raby of the home, daughter; Donna Younce and husband, Chris of Taylorsville; grandson, Brian Younce of Claremont; sisters, Judy Smith and husband, Harold, of Granite Falls and Doreen Williams of Hickory and a brother, Bob Raby and wife, Shirley, of Hickory; and a sister- in-law Josie Matthews of Asheville.

Services will be Saturday, March 30, at 11:00 A. M. at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Scott Bollinger officiating. Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park with military graveside honors conducted by American Legion Post #48.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:45 – 10:45 AM at the church.
