James Leonard Little

Born on March 11, 1949 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Herman Cartha and Mary Bass Little Price.

In addition to his parents his step- father Clarence Price, his sister Elaine Little Sain and an infant grandchild preceded him in death.

Jim attended St. Stephens High School, and Catawba Valley Community College. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and owned his own business since 1975, Hickory Fence Company, Inc.

His hobbies include working in his garden, golf, classic cars, and traveling. Known for his generosity and sense of humor. He never met a stranger. He will be truly missed by friends and family.

His wife of nearly 51 years, Sandra Ward Little of the home; daughter Brandee Little Wallinger; his son Jordan Scott Little and wife Andrea; grandchildren Sady Little and Chase Little and his brother Rev. Donald George Little and wife Karen survive him.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 1:45 pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Conover.

Funeral will follow at 2:00 pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Conover with Pastor Anton Lagoutine and Pastor Luke Self officiating.

Burial will follow in church cemetery with military honors presented. Pallbearers will be Norman Hendershot, Everette Evans, Charles Johnson, Chuck Coffin, Oz Hefner, and Stan Lail. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Bostian, Wayne Auton, Jim Pennell, Chase Little, current and past employees of Hickory Fence Company, Inc.
