Helen Hicks Morrison Sigmon

Helen was born September 24, 1926 in Catawba Co. to the late Clyde Barto and Bessie Anne Miller Hicks.

In addition to her parents, she was also precede d in death by her first husband, George Phillip Morrison, Jr. and her second husband, Arthur Sigmon, four sisters, Braskie Brown, Mae Yoder, Monnie Abernathy and Johnnie Houk and one brother, Albert Cletus Hicks. Also her son, Ray Morrison.

She was a former member of Corinth Baptist Church of Vale, NC and retired as a nurse from Presbyterian Hospital.

Surviving are her son, Phil Morrison and wife, Claire of Charlotte and her daughter, Dorothy Faye Morrison of Marshville, grandsons, Ray Morrison and wife, Amy of Charlotte and Tony Atkins and wife Elaine Oliver of Amsterdam, and a granddaughter, Sarah Morrison Campbell and husband, Andrew of Charlotte, great-granddaughter, Harper Lacy Morrison of Charlotte, sister, Florence Huffman of Hickory and her caregiver, Freida Moore of Charlotte.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:45 – 10:45 AM at Corinth Baptist Church.

Services will be Saturday, November 5, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Corinth Baptist Church with Reverend William Kanupp officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
