Born on August 12, 1934 in Burke County, she was the daughter of the late George and Ethel Ledford VanHorn. She served as a volunteer at First Baptist Church for many years.
In addition to her parents, her husband Weyburn “Jeff” Seabock, sister, Lois Franklin; brothers Grady VanHorn and Forest VanHorn preceded her in death.
Her sons Richard Van Seabock and wife Debbie of Hickory and Robert Alan Seabock and wife Shirley of Pearl City, Hawaii; her daughter Donna Alderman and husband Phil of Raleigh; grandsons Cameron Alderman of Raleigh, and Justin Kirito of Pearl City, Hawaii; granddaughters Ashley Kirito and Joselyn Kirito both of Pearl City, Hawaii; great grandsons Lucas Kirito and Logan Kirito of Pearl City, Hawaii, and a sister Catherine Jones of Valdese; and a number of nieces and nephews survive her.
The family will receive friends Monday, March 18, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hickory Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church with Reverend Joshua Barrett officiating.
Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church.
