Harold "Dick" Edward Setzer

He was born on November 28, 1944 to the late Fred Elmore Setzer and Sadie Belle Stilwell Setzer in Burke County. Dick was a member of Winkler’s Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed his grandchildren and watching them play ball. Cooking hamburgers and hotdogs for South Caldwell High School Athletic Boosters, car racing, antique cars and going on trips with the Senior Stars were some of his beloved hobbies.

Along with his parents, a number of his brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Winkler Setzer of the home; sons, Scott Edward Setzer and wife Heather of Connelly Springs, Jeff Roger Setzer and wife Angie of Hickory; grandchildren, Ashlyn Setzer of Hickory, Jarrett Setzer of Connelly Springs, Abbey Setzer of Connelly Springs, Preston Setzer of Hickory, Connor Setzer of Connelly Springs, Kennedy Setzer of Connelly Springs; sister, Wilma Hefner of Hickory; brother, Gary Setzer and wife Carolyn of Hickory; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A life remembered service be held on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at Winkler’s Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the church. Rev. Paul Deal and Rev. Dean Hart will officiate the service.
