Gladys Sigmon Carter

Gladys was born July 26, 1923 in Catawba Co to the late Carswell F. and Maude Dagenhardt Sigmon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Carter.

She was a faithful member of Unity Lutheran Church and retired from Anthony Hosiery.

Surviving are her sons; Marshall Lee Carter and wife, Ruby, of Alexander Co., Gerald Stephen Carter and wife, Becky, of Hickory and Russell D. Carter and wife, Kay, of Maiden; 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Service will be Thursday, January 24, at 1:00 PM at Unity Lutheran Church with Rev. Andrew Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:30 AM – 12:45 PM at the church.
