Georgia Campbell Helms

CONOVER----Georgia Jane Campbell Helms, 86, passed away October 6, 2014 at Trinity Ridge. Georgia was born December 25, 1927 in Catawba Co. to the late Fred P. and Edna Sarah Hefner Campbell, Sr. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her brothers, Fred Campbell, Jr., Loyd Campbell, Glen Campbell and Jack Campbell. She was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church, Mo Synod and retired from Hickory Springs.

Surviving are her husband, Bobby Steve Helms of the home; sons, Lonnie Paul Sharpe, Jr. of Mt. View and Nathan David Helms of Taylorsville; daughters, Barbara Jean Helms of Conover, Rebecca Lynn Abernathy of Conover and Patsy Renee Caldwell of Hickory; sisters, Neita Waver and Betty Sherrill; 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Services will be Thursday, Oct. 9, at 2:30 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerome Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, Oct. 9, from 1:00 P.M. – 2:15 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home.
