Hickory- George (Johnny) Edward Williams 74 of Hickory passed away on August 14, 2018 at Catawba Regional Hospice in Newton, NC.
Born on January 15, 1944 in Middlesboro, Kentucky. George was the son of the late George Washington and Ethel Williams. George had a green thumb and loved gardening. He loved renovating his home and he put his heart and soul into it.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by a number of brothers and sisters.
Survivors include; children, Johnny Scott Williams of TX, Angela Kaye Williams of KY, Priscilla “Cissy” Dombrowski (Bill) of OH, Jason Edward Williams (Amy) of KY, Crystal Leann Williams of Hickory, 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Georgia Butler, Dorothy Shores (Orville) and a number of other family members.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11:00 am at Catawba Memorial Park with Don Bledsole officiating.

Military Honors provided by NC National Guard and Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.
