Rev. George David Bluhm

He was born July 26, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio to George and Alma Bluhm. He graduated from Lutheran High School in Cleveland. He earned a law degree from Harvard and practiced law, joining the law firm of Weston, Hurd and Feldon in Cleveland, from 1964 to 1980. The Holy Spirit called Dave into the ministry. In 1980 he attended Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. He served churches in Pennsylvania, Georgia and North Carolina. He retired from St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Conover North Carolina. His passion was sharing the word of the Lord with parishioners and enjoying God’s love. He was preceded in death by his parents.He is survived by his brother Howard Bluhm (Karen), his nephew Brian Bluhm (Betsy), his great nephews Carter and Kenton Bluhm, and his niece Andrea Myers (Matt). Visitation will be at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Conover on Saturday, January 27, 2018, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The service will follow at 11:00 am at the church. Pastor Kevin Graudin will be officiating. Burial will be at a later date at the Lutheran Cemetery in Cleveland Ohio.
