Gary Richard Parsons

Gary Richard Parsons, age 79, went to his Heavenly home on February 3, 2023 following a brief illness. He was surrounded by loved ones and a very caring Nursing staff. Gary talked often of Heaven and looked forward to the day Jesus took him home.

He was the son of Sankey and Dorothy Parsons and was born in Charleston, W.Va on January 3, 1944. Gary was one of seven siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Jimmy, Patty and Sankey.

He is survived by his wife, Carol, of the home. Also surviving are siblings Jack

(Laura),Tommy( Harriet)and Larry(Jo); numerous nephews and nieces.

Gary attended Gulf Coast Bible College where he received an Associates Degree.

He was an Ironworker in Texas, had his own cleaning business and worked for the Virginia School System as a custodian.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 18th at Royal Chapel Church of God at 2 pm. Receiving will take place from 12:30 until 1:45. Pastors Bobby Dunn, Carlton Davidson and David Root will be conducting the service.
