Freda Elizabeth Sheline Phipps

Freda Elizabeth Sheline Phipps, 93, of Hickory, NC, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on November 4, 2014, at her residence. Born February 9, 1921 in Fayette County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles Sheline and Myrtle Sheline. Freda was a homemaker and loved her family dearly. She lived for over 80 years in Beckley, WV and was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Beckley for 42 years. Her last words were, “I love Jesus”.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kyle Curtis Phipps; brothers, John, Bud, Jim and Robert Sheline; sisters, Lillian Campbell, Margaret Cooper, Marie Payne, Delores Soufis, Betty Lou Sheline and Kathleen Sheline.

Freda is survived by her daughter, Connie Jo Clark and husband Steve; son, Kyle Curtis Phipps, II and wife Patricia; grandchildren, Kim Evans and husband Dale, Kelli Schenck and husband Drew, Kevin Phipps and wife Angela, Adam Clark and wife Vanessa and Amanda Telesco and husband Charles; great-grandchildren, Kathryn Black, Michael Evans, Nathan Evans, Rachael Munoz, Erica Evans, Kyla Schenck, Robbie Schenck, Dani Phipps, Kendall Phipps, Charles Telesco, II and Isabelle Telesco; great-great grandchildren, Avaley Black and Declan Munoz; brother, Junior Sheline; sister, Dorothy Schulte; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Memorial Baptist Church, 1405 S. Kanawha St., Beckley, WV with Pastor Steve Clark and Dr. Charles Bright officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, 1925 Harper Road, Beckley, WV. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon prior to the service.

Pallbearers to honor Mrs. Phipps will be her family.
