ICARD – Fred Michael “Mike” Huffman, 75 of Icard went home to be with the LORD on March 16, 2018.
Born on June 30, 1942 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Fred and Annie Mae Hildebran Huffman. Mike worked as a machinist with General Electric for over 30 years. He loved having a vegetable garden, canning, and cooking. Mike’s hobbies were NASCAR, listening to Roy Rogers and Patsy Cline music.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a wife, Janice Foster; an older brother, Jerry Huffman.
Survivors include his sons, Michael Huffman and wife Genia, Darren Huffman and wife Debby; mother of his children, Doris Hill; step-daughters, Shannon Miller, Tracy Yancey, Scottie Drovie; ten grandchildren; two great-grandsons; sister, Joye Foster and husband Ronnie; and a sister-in-law, Fran Huffman.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 2 PM at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church in Rutherford College with Rev. Michael Huffman and Dwayne Erwood officiating.
