Fred Mancil Hill, 72, of Conover, passed peacefully into the loving arms of his Savior our Lord Jesus Christ on January 10, 2021. The Bible says that in Heaven, He will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like HIS glorious body and that anyone who lives and believes in Jesus shall never die! AMEN!
Freddy was a great man who loved his Lord and has now received his victory in Jesus. Freddy was born May 13, 1948, in Cartersville, GA to the late Rev. Robert Lee Hill and Veree Callie Redman Hill. Freddy attended Bandys High School. He was a proud United States Army Veteran who loved his country and served it proudly. Freddy also worked for Comm-Scope where he retired after 38 years.
Those left, who have been blessed by this incredible man, include his wife of 48 years and the love of his life, Patsy Jonas Hill. Fred and Patsy were more than husband and wife; they were best friends and loving companions. When you saw one, you saw the other.
Freddy also loved his three daughters. He was a great daddy. A daddy that desired for his family to know and serve the Lord. He worked 12 hours, third shift and then came home and got three little girls ready (sometimes four) and took them to church. His daughters include: Jackie Hill Hucks and husband Mark of King, NC; Vicki Hill Toepper and husband Stephan of Hickory, NC; and Stephanie Hill South and husband David of Conover, NC. Freddy considered Amy Shook Ross of Newton, NC as a bonus daughter.
Freddy is also survived by his grandchildren Madison South, Ava South, Sophia Toepper, Sebastian Toepper, Alex South and a great grandchild Lacey South. Freddy was a great paw-paw and he loved these children dearly.
Freddy came from a big family and if you know one Hill you know them all. You will know them by their hearts and faith. Freddy joined his brother Ricky Hill in Heaven. Brothers and sisters left to cherish his memory are Billy Hill, Bobby Hill, Mitchell Hill, Steve Hill, Brenda Ferrell, Sandi Bean, Kathy Drum, and Debbie Griffey.
Freddy loved his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and his bonus brothers and sisters Allen, Bruce, and Diane. The family wants to add special thank you to Rachel Roy, RN, Miriam Smith, RN and Stephanie Chapman, RN for all their help while Freddy was in the hospital.
As you can see Fred Hill was a man that left a legacy of faith in Jesus, family, and love. He encourages each of you reading this to live your life fully and to find comfort in Jesus but most importantly, if you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, please consider checking out John 3:16, John 14:6, and Ephesians 2:8-9. May God Bless you all.
