Mr. Gragg was born on October 26, 1928 to the late Sanford Robert Gragg and Edna Mae Raby Gragg in Caldwell County. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and the owner/operator of Gragg Machine Shop.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 60 years, Ruth Stephens Gragg; his brothers, Burl , Roy, Bill, Sam, Frank, Jay, and Luther Gragg; and brother-in-law, Larry Smith.
Survivors include his sisters, Ruth Smith of Hudson, Mary Gragg Poore of Hudson; brother, Eddie Gragg (Kathy) of Hickory; brothers-in-law, Grady Stephens; sisters-in-law, Stella Stephens, Connie Stephens, Judy Kay Upton, Lucille Stephens Johnson, Doris Gragg; nephew, Tim Johnson (Ruth) of Vale; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. at the church. Pastor Bob Dockery will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church.
