Hickory – Estelle Williams Chambers, 86 of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 27th, 2024 at Trinity Ridge surrounded by her family.
Born on September 10th, 1937 in Yancey County, NC, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Honeycutt Williams. Estelle was a beautiful soul who loved her family. She enjoyed being outdoors and loved her garden, especially her pink roses. Her laughter and spirit were loved by all who met her.
In addition to her parents, Estelle is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gerald Chambers; her daughter, Selina Ann Tomberlin Muhs; her son, Jerry Ray Tomberlin, and her sister, Estory Edwards.
Those left to cherish her memory include, her granddaughter, Christina Hirsch with her husband Sean, and her grandson, Chris Tomberlin. Estelle has two great grandchildren who she adored, Luke Hirsch and Olivia Hirsch.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Sunday, September 1st, 2024 at 2:00. Entombment will follow the service at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Estelle’s name.
