Ernest "Buck" Plez Hinson

Born in New Jersey on August 12, 1945, he was the son of the late Lee and Hazel Kanupp Hinson.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Douglas Bailey; a sister Virginia Brooks and a brother Fletcher.

He is survived by his wife Sue Wilkie Hinson of the home; daughter Elizabeth “Libby” Wilkie Workman and husband David of Vale; sons Ernest Lee Hinson and wife Cheryl of Hickory, and Gregory Todd Bailey and wife Debbie of Icard; granddaughters Heather Bailey, Jessica Hinson, and Sophie Hinson; grandsons David Workman Jr. and wife Tia of Vale and Greg Bailey and wife Kari of Hickory, and 5 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday June 22, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Hickory Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, June 23, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Wilkies Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Kenneth Bryant, Reverend Dennis Pitts, and David Workman Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow in church cemetery.
