He was born on June 12, 1956 to the late Stewart C. Deitz and Juanita Drum Deitz in Catawba County.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Rhonda Deitz of the home; daughters, Lindsey Battiston and husband Dr. John of Forest, Va, Lacey Medd and husband Kris of Conover, Mackenzie Deitz of the home, stepson; Tyler Tessiner and wife Wendie of Newton, Michael Furr of Hickory, Eric Tessiner of Hickory, granddaughter; Taylor Deitz and fiancé Brian of Hickory, Evelene Tessiner of Newton, great grandson; Lucian of Conover, brother; Gregory Deitz and wife Kimberly of Hickory; and a niece and nephew.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hickory Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Terri Landers will officiate the service.
