Donald Danny Bratton

Danny was a graduate of Hickory High School, class of 1969 and Valedictorian of his Class at Catawba Valley Community College in 1971. He was a Deacon at Temple of Refuge PAW Church in Hickory. Danny was a dedicated driver for Salem Carriers for over 20 years and took pride in mentoring many drivers during his career. In 2013 Danny reached the benchmark of over 2 million miles of safe driving. He was involved with many facets of his church life including choir directing and singing, mentoring programs and teaching Sunday school.

Danny is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lois; children, Chris Bratton of Hickory and Kim Bratton McCall and husband William of Hickory; grandchildren, Adrian, Jonathan, Makayla and Alyssa; and great grandchild, Nevaeh.

A Going Home service will be held at 12 pm, Monday, December 5, 2016 at Catawba Funeral Home with District Elder Linda Tyler officiating. His place of final rest will be Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11 am to 12 pm Monday at the funeral home.
