David Ralph Reames

David Ralph Reames, Sr., 83, passed away on October 27, 2022 at his residence. Born January 13, 1939 in White County, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Floyd Ralph Reames and Zula Elizabeth O’Guinn Reames. A former member of the US Marines, he was employed as a welding instructor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded In death by his wife of 51 years, Alma Reames; brothers, Thomas Edison Reames and Billy Joe Reames; sisters, Seminola Rodgers, Felicia Nicholl and Carolyn Lindsay.

David is survived by his sons, David R. Reames, Jr. of Lenoir and Craig Alan Reames (Crystal) of Concord, NC; daughter, Margie Faye Hamlin of Taylorsville, NC; brother, Jerry Dale Reames of Arkansas; sister, Lavon Ghent, of Heber Springs, Arkansas; grandchildren, Richard Dean Isenhour (Tessie), Steven Alexander Reames, Carissa and Tyler Montgomery; great-grandchildren, Blake Isenhour, Morgan Isenhour and great, great-grandchild, Kole Isenhour.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday November 6, 2022 at 2:30pm in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Hickory with Craig Alan Reames and Alex Reames as speakers. Full Military Rites will be held.

The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 pm prior to the service.
