David Eugene Mason

VALDESE – David Eugene Mason, 51 of Valdese passed away on January 16, 2024 after a brief illness.

He was born on November 17, 1972 in Norfolk County, VA to the late David Eugene Blagg Sr. and Revah Lorraine Hardy Mason. David was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and son-in-law. His greatest passion was his family. David loved the beach but felt at home in the mountains. He loved music, playing guitar and was an avid reader.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin and Jeanette Hardy.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Amber Nichole Smith Mason; children, Eli G. Mason, Loreali A. Mason, Patrick “Quinn” Mason; brother, Ernest Cessna and wife Beth; mother-in-law, Anna Smith-Bradley; father-in-law, Randy Smith; brother-in-laws, Joshua Smith, Lukas Smith and wife Virginia; niece, Bailey Smith; nephews, Kole Smith, Jacob Smith, Henry Smith, Matthew Smith, Michael Cessna and Matthew Cessna.

Services will be private.

David was loved by many and will be deeply missed. He will be forever in our HEARTS.
