LINCOLNTON – David (Wally) Garrison, 64 of Lincolnton went home to be with the Lord on September 21, 2023.
Wally was born on February 22, 1959 in Caldwell County to David C. Garrison and the late Phyllis Walling Garrison. Wally was a farmer and enjoyed growing flowers, working in his garden and animals especially his cats. He was a gentle soul and enjoyed the simple life.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Garrison.
Left to cherish his memory is his father, David C. Garrison; siblings, Charles Garrison and wife Delores, Janette Rhoney and husband George, Sharon Dobey and husband Kent; nephews, Brian Rhoney, Ben Rhoney, Mark Rhoney, Matthew Garrison; nieces, Sarah Trexler, Leah Savastano, Lauren Miller Nickerson; and numerous other family members.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at 3 PM at Catawba Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Miller officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 PM – 3 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catawba County Humane Society.
