Daniel "Danny" Paul Martin

He was born on January 12, 1949 to the late Crowson Martin and Ethel Shatley Martin in Iredell County. Danny was a United States Army Veteran. He retired after working for 42 years at Village Inn Pizza. Danny was a member of Highland Baptist Church, serving on several Missionary trips with the North Carolina Baptist Men. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Martin of the home; daughter, Tracy Sharpe and husband Kevin of Statesville; son, Dustin Martin and wife Ali Suttlemyre of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Hailey Fry of Winston Salem, Trevor Fry of Bethlehem, Carter Martin of Bethlehem, Dustin Sharpe of Statesville, McKenzy Sharpe of Carolina Shore, NC; brother, Jim and wife Debbie Martin of Taylorsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 3:30p.m.. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the church. Dr. Jeff Myers and Rev. Kenny Robison will officiate the service. Military honors will be performed by the Amvets. A private burial will be held at a later date.
