Claremont – Connie Dorene Hamrick Sisk, 77 of Claremont, NC went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 31st, 2024, at Carolina Caring of Newton surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on August 13th, 1947, in Cleveland County, NC, Connie was the daughter of the late Howard Edd and Alma Wall Hamrick. Connie’s first passion was reading. She loved cooking for anybody and working in her garden or any activities outdoors, as well as spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was loved by her family and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Howard Hamrick and her sister, Annie Hamrick.
Those left to cherish her memory include, her husband of 58 years, Marshall Lee Sisk, Jr.; her sons, Edward Sisk and Christopher Sisk; her brother, Buren Hamrick and wife, Revonda; 3 grandchildren, Jessica, Brianna and husband, Alex and Harrison as well as, 2 great grandchildren, McKenzie and Piston.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Startown First Baptist Church at 2615 Sigmon Dairy Rd., Newton, NC 28658 on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025 at 2:00 pm with Pastor William Church officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Startown First Baptist Church or Carolina Caring if Newton in Connie’s name.
