Clyde Elmore Hollar

Clyde Elmore Hollar, Jr., son of Clyde and Bertie Cline Hollar, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Catawba Regional Hospice in Newton. A member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church (LCMS), and a US Army Veteran, Clyde was a wonderful husband and father, loved by all.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Kimberly Karen Hollar; and brothers, Hal Hollar and Melvin Hollar.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years, Doris Sharpe Hollar; daughter, Sheila H. Dyson and husband, Chris; brother, Bobby Hollar and wife Patricia; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 17, 2017 at St. Stephens Lutheran Church (LCMS) with Pastor David Ziehr officiating. Burial, with military rites, will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
