Charles Wayne Floyd Sr.

Charles Wayne Floyd, Sr, 78, of Hickory, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at his residence. Born March 17, 1940 in Richmond County, NC, he was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin Floyd and Eva Cora Stephens Floyd.

A member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, he retired as operations manager of a cable company.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 58 years, Diane Lamb Floyd; sons, Chuck Floyd and wife Sandra and Steve Floyd and wife Carolyn; daughter, Bambi Ebert and husband, Mark; four brothers; two sisters; and eight grandchildren.

A Celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2019 in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Hickory with Rev. Randall Cauble officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive family and friends from 12:00 p.m. – 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the funeral home prior to the service.
