Brenda "Gail" Roden

HICKORY – Gail Roden, 79 of Hickory passed away peacefully at home on November 15, 2022.

Born on August 14, 1943 in McDowell County, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Eva Roland Allison. Gail was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her. She loved to cook for family and friends and she loved to watch wrestling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Allison.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 60 years, Ted Roden; children, Eva Mariea Logan and husband Tom; Lesia Settlemyre and husband David, Bobby Roden; grandchildren, Tommy Boyett III, Samantha Settlemyre, Joshua Settlemyre, Jessica Settlemyre, Shelia Conley, Timmy Roden, Tyler Roden, Macey Roden; great-granchildren, Brandon Boyett, Carsyn Boyett, Bryden Conley, Jaxston Conley; brother, Jackie Allison; numerous other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 2 PM at Catawba Funeral Home.
